Installing AppImages to Your Menu

In this episode we will take a look at AppImages and how they differ from Flatpaks and Snaps, as well as how to install them to the menu, both manually and via a script file I created to automate the process. Note: I failed to go over how to install them via the editable menu like Cinnamon and KDE Plasma (and other who may have a GUI interface to edit their menus.) The beauty of this will be that it will work on most any menu system. I use a Cinnamon desktop on Arch Linux to demonstrate how it works and how to edit the file afterwards.
